Vivianna Argyrakakis
Vivianna Argyrakakis
Story
Vivianna's passion for native animals is profound, and in honour of her birthday, she wishes to support their rescue efforts. If you were thinking of bringing a gift, we would greatly appreciate it if you could consider donating instead. You can contribute through the provided link or in person at the venue on her special day, where a donation box will be available. All proceeds will benefit “Wildlife Victoria”, an organization dedicated to protecting our native wildlife. Thank you for your generosity. We look forward to celebrating with you at Vivianna's birthday party, sharing in the joy of giving back to our precious wildlife.
Wildlife Victoria Inc.
Since 1989, Wildlife Victoria has safeguarded Victoria’s remarkable wildlife through rescue, advocacy, and education. In 2022 we introduced our wildlife specialist Travelling Veterinary Service, the only one of its kind in Australia. Humanity’s very survival on our planet depends on the vast array of biodiversity our wildlife helps form. The life of every one of our native animals is invaluable to our ecosystem and ourselves. At Wildlife Victoria we are driven by a deep passion to be their unwavering voice as our home continues to change. The effects of climate change, habitat destruction and urbanisation, have seen a consistent increase in demand for our services each year.
Last year Wildlife Victoria's Emergency Response Service received over 189,000 calls for help from members of the public, assisting 114,636 native animals across 450 different species. In 2025 Wildlife Victoria's Travelling Veterinary Service provided free veterinary assessment and treatment to 1,445 native animals across 88 different species, both in care with volunteer wildlife rehabilitators and in field. Our veterinary teams travelled over 79,000kms last year to help sick, injured and orphaned wildlife - equivalent to five laps around Australia.
The rescue service relies on an extensive state-wide network of rescue and transport volunteers, veterinarians who provide pro-bono services for wildlife, and licensed carers and shelters who accept animals into their care for rehabilitation and release. By choosing to donate to us, you can join our mission to protect and preserve the extraordinary wildlife that makes Victoria’s landscape one we all cherish. Together, we can make a difference for their future and ours.
